Fashion’s favorite season is just around the corner, which means layers upon layers, chunky knit sweaters, and my personal favorite: boots. With Nashville falls being pretty short in comparison to seemingly never-ending winter and summer months, you’ve got to be ready for Fall Fashion pretty early to make the most of the short season.
This fall, there are some new silhouettes to be on the lookout for, and some favorites from last season that have stuck around. Take a peek at our top 5 picks to add to your wardrobe below and how to wear them.
Combat Boots
Combat boots have returned as a nice alternative to a heeled boot. Pairing these gorgeous Calfskin Chanel boots with a midi dress makes for an edgy, yet sophisticated fall ensemble. These beauties are available in the shoe salon of Nordstrom at The Mall at Green Hills.
Western Boots
What we’ve known and loved in Nashville for years finally hit the streets of New York City last fall and it seems this trend is here to stay. Chloe makes several styles that show their take on the Western boot trend, and you can’t go wrong with any pair. Opt for the Snakeskin Rylee Ankle Boot or the white Caged Rylee pointy-toe option at our Nashville Nordstrom. These boots pair well with dresses, denim, and well just about anything. Be sure to take a peek at our favorite, Happily Grey for inspiration in this department.
[ad]The High-Rise
This fall marks the official return of the high-rise boot. Victoria Beckham truly does no wrong, and her interpretation is not one to pass up. This style is another perfect match for a midi dress during the chillier months. Find similar styles and other pieces from her collection at Gus Mayer.
Chunky-Heels
A simple, yet staple pair to add to your collection this fall is a mid-calf chunky heeled boot. This tan option by Free People is the perfect warm fall tone and would be ideally paired with a cream sweater and dark denim. In Nashville, you can snag these while shopping for other fall essentials at Dillard’s! (p.s. have you seen all that new parking)?
And, of course, the Chelsea Boot
Last but not least enters the classic Chelsea boot. This modern, utilitarian take on a staple shoe by Christian Louboutin is one that will prevail season after season. When worn with black trousers, a striped tee, and a black trench, you’ll be prepped for fall (even when Nashville isn’t). Snag these while you’re buying those Chloe boots I mentioned earlier; I mean they’re so different, you can definitely justify both.
Good luck waiting until cooler days to bust out these autumnal styles. If you’re anything like me, you’re already wearing them.
