Thai anyone?

Thai Esane’s new location is best described as “home“ and a “dream come true” by owner Nina Sayasack. This female-owned restaurant is an empire in the making considering everything that she has in the works. This upcoming Saturday the restaurant will begin to offer brunch, featuring several new plates inspired by Thai street food. Her goal in offering these new dishes is to bring a brunch menu to Nashville that, dare I say, doesn’t feature chicken and waffles. Outside of this new morning fare, Thai Esane well soon partake in happy hour deals, “room service” to tenants of Element, and come 2020, a location at 5th and Broadway.

Lucky for us, Thai Esane hosted the Edit team for lunch, giving us a much-needed break during the print deadline crunch time. The new space is flooded with gorgeous natural light and filled with a delicious aroma (which made us all the more hungry).  We indulged in a variety of flavor-packed dishes, listed and pictured below:

Wheat flour rolls filled with chicken, carrots, onions and cabbage and deep-fried.

Fresh Rolls

Steam Dumplings

Pineapple Boat Fried Rice

Eggs, carrots, peas, raisins, onions, cashews and broccoli in fresh pineapple.

Pad Voon Sen

Clear noodle stir-fried in carrots, celery, and napa cabbage.

Pad Thai

Rice Noodle in tamarind based sauce with bean sprouts and eggs. Served with crushed peanuts and chives.

Masaman Curry

Sweet and sour curry with coconut milk, potatoes, carrots, and onions. Served with rice.
